About CMC Operations & Training Consultants
I’ve spent my working life inside operational environments that demand results, resilience, and sound judgement — long before founding my own businesses.
My background spans over two decades in corporate settings, including senior roles in debt recovery and litigation, followed by more than a decade in plant hire and operational management. Across these roles, I was responsible for commercial outcomes, operational decision-making under pressure, and delivery accountability — not just strategy or ideas.
That hands-on operational experience forms the foundation of everything I do today.
Through CMC Operations & Training Consultants, I now apply this lived operational perspective to support founder-led and SME businesses that need stronger structure, clearer processes, and practical systems as they grow and scale.
Corporate Experience
In corporate environments, I worked within performance-driven structures where outcomes mattered and accountability was real. I handled complex casework, high-stakes decisions, and difficult conversations — often in situations where there was no simple or comfortable resolution.
Those years gave me direct insight into how organisations actually function: how performance is assessed, how capability is evaluated, and how decisions are made in practice — not how they’re described in theory.
They also exposed the operational gaps that often sit beneath formal structures, and where conventional guidance or surface-level solutions fail to reflect organisational reality.
Founder Experience
After many years in corporate operational roles, I transitioned into building and running my own businesses from the ground up.
As a founder-operator, I have developed multiple income streams, managed commercial risk and cash-flow uncertainty, and continued operating through one of the most economically challenging periods in recent decades. This meant making real-world decisions without institutional support, guaranteed revenue, or ideal conditions — and sustaining operations regardless.
That experience reshaped my understanding of what sustainable business operation actually requires outside corporate structures: practical systems, financial awareness, and decisions that can be implemented and maintained in reality, not theory.
Why CMC Operations & Training Consultants exists
CMC Operations & Training Consultants exists because there is a persistent gap between how business, growth, and work are discussed — and how they actually function in operational reality.
Much of the guidance available to founders and SMEs — around growth, structure, hiring, or scaling — overlooks risk, context, and delivery accountability. It often assumes ideal conditions, stable resources, or organisational maturity that many businesses simply do not have.
My work sits in the reality between corporate theory and day-to-day business operation.
Everything I offer is grounded in lived operational experience: inside established corporate structures, outside them as a founder, and in the grey space where most growing businesses actually operate.
The focus is practical clarity, operational realism, and helping businesses make decisions they can sustain — commercially and structurally — over time.
How I work
I don’t promise shortcuts, quick transformations, or guaranteed outcomes.
What I do offer is practical operational training, honest guidance, and a clear view of the trade-offs involved in real business decisions — particularly around structure, growth, risk, and sustainability.
This work is for founders and SME operators who want to think carefully about how their business actually functions and earns — not be sold simplified narratives or unrealistic expectations.
Who this is for
CMC Operations & Training Consultants is for founders and SME businesses who:
- are outgrowing informal or founder-dependent ways of operating
- need clearer structure, processes, or operational consistency
- are making decisions about growth, delivery, or scaling without established systems
- want practical, experience-based operational guidance rather than generic business advice
If you’re looking for certainty, quick fixes, or simplified answers to complex operational realities, this won’t be the right fit.
If you’re looking for clarity, realism, and sustainable ways to strengthen how your business actually operates, it probably will be.
